My 71 Torino GT's nickname is
Charlotte, named after the high speed nascar tracks which she felt home at the most. My husband bought this car for me a few years ago as a anniversary present. As I wanted a muscle car for a lot of years. But as he was busy building his car. ( the 71 prostreet aqua teal one on this site also.) And putting all his money into it. there was little money left over for anything else. but after many years building his, he finaly finished his and re-grouped some money, and suprised me with this beautiful grabber yellow Torino GT. It has a
351c 4v engine in it with a/c. It is a 4-speed car with bucket seats, interior is black. Has a 3:89 posi 9inch rear end, and has original style bias ply tires and magnum 500 rims. Has hide-away headlights, rim-blow horn and ribbon tach that still works. Car was in great shape but was in dire need of some major detailing as the past years of road use to and from shows by previous owner, really put a toll on the car. It was really grubby in the engine bay and undercarriage, so car was put on jack stands for a couple of weeks to do some badly needed detail work in said areas. Now it looks really nice in all areas. the car averaged between 9.0 and 9.50 at shows before i did the detail work on it hopefully it will do better points wise after this detail work. I enjoying going to car shows and cruise nights with Charlotte, She is a driver car not a trailer queen. She has some small faults still in her, but she is my baby and I have fun with her, Thats all that matters to me. Thanks for reading
