Background Story
25 years ago when my wife and I got married, we decided to use the money to do the most practical thing, we ordered a new 85 Mustang LX 5.0! We got married on Sept 15, 1984 and less than a week later went to a local Ford dealer and placed an order for a 1985 Mustang LX 5.0, with a 5 speed.  The only stipulation she placed on me was that if I got to pick the car, she got to pick the colour.  She did and it was black (the colour I wanted anyway). Now I had to be quite convincing at the dealership because they were telling me that the combination I wanted was not available (if you look in the original Mustang brochure it says the 5 litre is not available in the LX) but I knew better.  My uncle was a manager at Dearborn assembly and he assured me that they could build it.  He followed it through the build process and we took possession of our black LX hatch, in November 1984.
