I bought my 2006 Mustang Gt completely Stock with 5K on the Clock. It had black with red interior an upgraded Shaker 1000 system, upgraded Carbon Dash, and the upgraded Pony Package from the factory. The first pieces I bought were of course axel backs, a hurst short shifter, and then moved to the body parts; all Cervini eleanor pieces except the hood. After I completely changed the body, I quickly had the urge to start making the car have more pep. So I moved on to buy a C&L Racer Intake, Mac LongTubes, Mac O/R Prochamber, Steeda Delete Plates, Ford Hot Rod Cams, and Every supporting suspension piece I could (Panhard, Lcas, Uca, Relocation brackets, Eibach prokit springs and Koni Str Struts/Shocks). With those mod’s I was then Dyno'd in Bethel CT by Chris of Efi Logics, one of they best tuners in the tri state area! I put down 350whp with a 93oct tune on a mustang dyno, pretty impressive for N/a. As you all know once you get sucked into the modding world there is no going back. I began researching different types of blowers and trying to see what would best fit my needs. It seemed a D1sc Procharger Unit was in the making for my car, but as you all know nothing goes as planned. I was surfing ebay on the prowl and found half of a Garrett twin turbo kit (just the hot side) for a very reasonable deal. I jumped at the opportunity and bought it! Myself and my buddy now sat at home staring at this twin turbo hotside that was only half complete, brainstorming about what we wanted to do. Lucky for my that buddy of mine is a pit crew chief and lead mechanic on a Le mans race team. I quickly began spending money on ebay intercooler piping, hoses, aluminum sheets, intakes, gaskets, bov, and stainless bolts, gauges and everything else needed. My buddy and I fabricated the entire cold side, extending the Mac prochamber, relocating the PCM, and Battery. We spent an entire winter customizing the engine bay and working everything into place. When we were finished we setup an appointment with Efi Logics, with little bit of back and forth work soon enough the car was on the dyno putting down numbers over 500 wheel and torque. The tune was conservative and only on 10 pounds of boost. This was in spring of 2010, the car has made it to almost 2012 on that same tune running a little more boost and beaten on almost every day. Thinking the motor was not going to hold I have bought all the internals (oil pan to cams) needed to turn this motor into a monster, and it looks like this winter she is going to be pulled apart and stroked.
